THIS INFORMATION
to ensure they maintain their eligibility.
Event Information:
The World Qualifier is an annual tournament that takes place at the end of the League year. The winning teams at the World Qualifier receive travel assistance to Las Vegas and the opportunity to
represent Suwannee River APA Pool League in the APA World Pool Championships.
Eligibility:
Teams gain eligibility for the World Qualifier event by winning at Tri-Cup. To participate in the World Qualifier, players must have six matches within the regular session with their team to be eligible to play and a minimum of 10 lifetime match scores. Matches played during session Playoffs and Tri-Cup count toward the lifetime match requirement.
Teams can gain eligibility for the World Qualifier in any League session but must remain active in all subsequent sessions of the League year to maintain their qualification status. Additional requirements for maintaining qualification are outlined in the Official Team Manual. It is the responsibility of the Captain to ensure teams follow these guidelines or qualification can be lost. The number of teams qualifying from Tri-Cup is dependent on the number of teams in a given format (8-Ball or 9-Ball) in the Suwannee River APA Pool League.
A team that plays year-round has three opportunities to earn eligibility through the Summer, Fall and Spring session Tri-Cups. A team that finishes the regular session in 1st place for two or more sessions during the League year will gain automatic qualification to the World Qualifier.
Advancing to the APA World Pool Championship:
The number of teams advancing to the APA World Pool Championship is determined by the total number of teams in a given format (8-Ball or 9-Ball) in the Suwannee River APA Pool League area.
